Where is the jewellery made?

All of the jewellery is made in Hatton Garden (London) by myself. I am a one-woman-band, doing everything from designing, making, setting, engraving, polishing, packing, website, socials, customer service, etc. You get the gist!

What materials is the jewellery made of?

The majority of my pieces are made from Sterling Silver, this is an alloy with 92.5% pure silver.
Sometimes I also make pieces for the website in 9ct gold – an alloy with 37.5% pure gold. This is a durable and more affordable alternative for those who can’t afford higher carat gold jewellery, like 18ct (75% pure gold).
I work with all carats of gold, as well as Platinum for bespoke orders.

Where do your materials come from?

I purchase the vast majority of my materials from UK based (mostly London based) suppliers. All of the metals used (silver and gold) are 100% recycled.
I occasionally get gemstones from other carefully chosen sources outside of the UK.

Will my jewellery tarnish?

The short answer is yes.
Pure silver and gold will not tarnish, however they are too soft to make jewellery from, which is why they are alloyed with other metals. Some alloys will tarnish faster than others.
This will depend on numerous factors – the metal, how it is worn, contact with skin, skin acidity, sweat, creams, perfumes, how the jewellery is stored…
If you wear your jewellery in the shower, while swimming, working out, when putting on creams, sprays, oils, etc – these can all speed up the tarnishing process.
Additionally, some people have more acidic skin/sweat, which can cause higher level of tarnish on the parts that have direct contact with the skin.
When not wearing your jewellery, it is best to keep it in a dry place, in a jewellery box, or a ziplock bag.

How can I clean my jewellery?

Light to medium tarnish can be easily cleaned with a soft silver polishing cloth.
Tougher tarnish can be cleaned with a silver dip, but be careful to follow instructions, and if your jewellery has gemstones, only use one suitable for gemstones.
Grime can be cleaned with warm water, fairy liquid and a SOFT toothbrush.

Do you have a brick and mortar shop I can visit to see the jewellery in person?

The short answer is No.
However, I occasionally sell at craft markets, which will be published on my Events page and my social media, where you can come meet me and see my jewellery in person.
If there is a specific piece you’re interested in seeing, contact me beforehand to make sure I bring it with me.

Is your packaging eco-friendly?

I try to be as eco-friendly as possible with the materials and packaging I use.
The gift boxes my jewellery is packed in are made from recycled & recyclable paper or cardboard. I buy these in small quantities as and when they are needed.
My postal packaging is all re-used and I encourage you to either recycle or reuse them as well.

When will my parcel be dispatched?

Ready-to-ship pieces will be sent out within 2 working days (This excludes weekends and UK public holidays).
Made-to-order pieces will be sent out within 2-3 working days.
Bespoke pieces will be sent out as agreed in your bespoke contract (usually 4-8 weeks)

When will my parcel be delivered?

Once dispatched, parcels sent within the UK will usually be delivered next business day.
Parcels sent to Europe should usually be delivered within 3-5 business days (this excludes any public holidays both in the UK and destination country).
Parcels sent to the rest of the world should usually be delivered within 5-7 business days (this excludes any public holidays both in the UK and destination country).

Will I be charged customs fees?

This depends on the country where you reside and the total of your order. I suggest you check this out before placing your order. I can not be liable for any customs fees or local taxes at the destination country, nor will I put false details on the customs form.

My parcel has not arrived, what should I do?

Once I have posted your items, they are in the hands of the postal services and out of my control.
I always send all my items with tracked/signed for services and appropriate parcel insurance.
As much as I understand your frustration with delayed parcels, I am a (very) small business and cannot afford to issue any refunds until I can make a claim with the postal services. I would really appreciate your patience to wait the allotted time before you contact me.

UK parcels
Parcels sent by 1st class signed for service (items up to £74 – Royal Mail will not accept any claims until 10 working days after the next working day due date.
Parcels sent by special delivery (items from £75 and up) need to wait an additional 5 working days after the due date before a claim for loss can be made.

International Parcels
Once parcels have been posted at my local post office, they will usually be taken to an international facility within a few days, then put on a plane and passed on to your local authorities.
Once the tracking shows the parcel has been handed over, it is in the hands of your local customs facility or postal service and the duration of delivery depends largely on them. It is sometimes better to contact your local facility to check on a parcel if it is stuck in the local postal system.

Europe
The aim for delivery with the services I use is 3-5 working days. To make a claim for a lost parcel, I need to wait an additional 20 working days after this period.

Rest of the world
The aim for delivery with the services I use is 5-7 working days. To make a claim for a lost parcel, I need to wait an additional 25 working days after this period.

I would like to return my item, what do I need to do?

Any ready to ship items, or made to order items from my collection, that have not been personalised or altered to your specific requirements, can be returned in accordance with distance selling laws.
Please contact me via the contact form on the website, or directly by email, within 14 days of receiving your parcel to alert me of your desire to return the item and I can give you my postal address for returns.
You then have 14 days to post the item back. You will need to cover the return postage and are liable for the parcel until it arrives back safely with me, so please make sure you use an appropriate postage method.
All returned items must be in the same condition they were received in, otherwise a fee may be deducted from your refund.

My jewellery has become faulty/broke, can you fix it?

Please get in touch with me ASAP and I will do whatever I can to help! It would be helpful if you can attach photos of the piece.
